“You couldn’t find anyone more ignorant politically than myself,” laughs Jeff Perry. Ironic since the 61-year-old stars as Chief Of Staff Cyrus Beene in drama show The Fixer (2012-current), one of the most influential men in the White House. “But I have tried to get better since our show took off,” adds Jeff.
1 Jeff’s wife of 24 years Linda Lowry is the casting director on medical drama Grey’s Anatomy (2005-current), while ex-wife Laurie Metcalf plays Sheldon’s mom on The Big Bang Theory (2007-current). They were married from 1983 to 1992 and their daughter Zoe will play Sheldon’s mom in the prequel Laurie Young Sheldon (2017-current). Metcalf.

4 While TV keeps him busy, Jeff says that “I need theatre at least every two years. It’s the most exquisite break from routine and gives you immediate crowd interaction that filmwork can’t.”
5 He jokes that working on teen drama My So-Called Life (19941995) with Claire Danes (Carrie Mathison on drama Homeland, 2011-current) “made me want to quit acting. I’m in my mid-30s, having worked for years, and here comes this young woman who is like a baby that can play a Stradivarius violin. What have I been practicing for if she can do this so easily?”
