Taking down an old nemesis should be a simple task. You’ve got the inside info to hit them where it hurts. With that in mind, exMoroka-son-in-law Tau Mogale (Rapulana Seiphemo) is plotting to use any and every opportunity that comes his way to strike down his rival Jack Mabaso (Vusi Kunene) on Friday 21 July. “They two have been at it for years and it’s about to get worse than viewers think possible,” says publicist Gaaratwe Mokhethi.

Tau wants the thing that means the world to Jack: his building project JM Eco City. And he knows where to start: Tau blackmails the eldest Moroka uncle Molefe (Mothusi Chebeletsane) to snatch control of the family stake in the building project. If Molefe refuses, Tau will tell Mazwi (Musa Ngema) that he isn’t the father of “his” new baby Rorisang (Lethokulhe Jiyane). “The threats get to Uncle Molefe! He is scared and knows that Tau is capable of destroying family,” explains Gaaratwe.

WHAT’S GOING ON?

The Morokas worked hard to keep the paternity secret under wraps. They can’t let Tau ruin their legacy and agree to give him the power he’s demanding. But Tau’s excitement quickly goes down the drain when his IT guy Zach (Mxolisi Masango) learns that someone has hacked his computer on Wednesday 26 July. “He is shocked! Tau wants to get rid of this before there’s a problem,” explains the publicist. Although Jack and Tau are in business together, the two have never agreed on anything and “it’s not just about JM Eco City. They’ve always been fighting and this time, it’s going to be intense because family is involved,” says Gaaratwe.

I’M ONTO YOU

While Tau and Zach search for the hacker, Jack is plotting to stop Tau’s take-over plans on Thursday 27 July. He’s using Thabi (Motsoaledi Setumo), who arrived at his door in early July 2017 looking for her brother. The rivals have more in common than they think: they have both been resurrected from the dead, they are recovering gangsters and they will do anything to get power, they will even use family to get control. “Jack knows that there is a connection between Thabi and Tau. Something big is about to go down and Tau won’t know until it hits him,” hints Gaaratwe.
