AUGUST
Leeto and Mokgadi brainstorm ideas to end John and Charity’s affair before Meikie finds out, and Nimrod ignores his family’s wishes and starts dating Pretty. Celia and her daughter Rachel come up with business plans to save their family from Alfred’s drowning debt, and Mapitsi is upset by the rumour that she’s dating her bestie Katlego. Koko Mantsha prefers her grandson Kat’s girlfriend Candice to Mapitsi, and Pretty is getting tired of Nimrod’s promises and demands that he prove himself as a dedicated boyfriend. Mapitsi puts Pretty and Eunice in their place when they question her about her love life, and Meikie uncovers her husband John’s affair.
SEPTEMBER
Meikie warns her family to stand back as she plots revenge against Charity for trying to steal her husband, and Charles confronts his nephew Nimrod about his relationship with their family rival Pretty. Alfred is surprised by a visit from his loanshark Dragon (Julius Mosana), and Meikie hires a private investigator to get photos of John with Charity. Lelo’s on her own when her babydaddy Mangaliso bails on their relationship, and Marothi confronts John for “destroying his happy family” with Charity. Katlego questions his mom Charity about her very public affair with John, and Meikie threatens Charity, ordering her to end things with John or else…
OCTOBER
John wants to leave the past behind and save what is left of his marriage with Meikie, and Sthoko presses charges against her abusive hubby Dennis. Charity reaches out to the Maputla family to ask for forgiveness for her sins against them, and Lelo’s ex-prison pal Tami (Maduna Kapumba) tries to ruin Lelo’s new life on the outside. Clement is annoyed when his manipulative dad Dennis tries to get him on his side in his fight against Sthoko, and Meikie is fuming when she reads an SMS on John’s phone from Charity. Charity wakes up in a hospital bed, beaten up and unable to remember how she got there, and Leeto tries to escape his family drama by bury-ing himself with work.
