Lesedi isn’t going to let anyone walk over her, and Marko takes drastic steps to save his Stasie Ses restaurant. Vince confronts Justin about what he heard from Xander about a shooting incident at Chris Welman’s house, and Hilda and Oubaas’s marriage takes a worrying turn with Oubaas’s mother Moekie in town. Amorey struggles to hide her feelings for Willem, and newcomer Esti (Reandi Grey) gets a job at Stasie Ses. Connie tells Aggie that she isn’t ready to appoint an assistant at the boutique, and Justin is speechless when he learns how far Mariaan will go to get back at Lesedi for what she did to Chris.
Amorey tries to move on and goes to a Bruynwaves function with Diederik, and Oubaas and Hilda get the dominee’s help restoring calm to their marriage. Matrone is outraged that anyone would question her culinary skills, and Alexa is suspicious of her mother Mariaan’s strange behaviour. Xander saves Lesedi’s life, and Matrone tries to talk sense into Oubaas’s head. The T&T sport shop is reopened and revamped by new owner Fikani (Nicolas Nkuna). Vince worries that Justin is up to no good again, and Mariaan doesn’t approve of Amorey’s new love interest. Vanessa thinks that it’s time her mom Charmaine started dating again, and Marko and Fikani realise that Esti played them both for fools.
SEPTEMBER
Lesedi misplaces her glasses but doesn’t realise that it’s part of a plan against her, and Chris assures Amorey that he won’t let Mariaan scare off Diederik. Willem isn’t impressed by the constant electrical issues at Oppiekoffie, and Justin is desperate to rebuild his life in Hillside again – and the only way he can do it is to accept Mariaan’s money in exchange for helping her with her revenge plan. Hilda is offended when Fikani ques-tions why “someone like her” would want to join the gym. Esti leaves Marko in the lurch when she doesn’t pitch for her shift at Stasie Ses, and Charmaine is in financial trouble when the lights go out once again at Oppiekoffie. Vanessa later pushes Charmaine to date again but Xander thinks that Vanessa should leave his stepmom – and her mom – alone.
