Taxi bigwig and chisanyama boss Muzi (Gabriel Mini) has hit the big time in new sitcom Rented Family (2017- current). His house is the biggest on the street and he likes to flaunt his success. But living large isn’t as easy as it seems when his wayward son Mzwa (Nkanyiso Shezi), intrusive half-brother Zach ( Trevor Gumbi) and niece Zanele (Samkhe Makhoba) move in. Can Muzi juggle his businesses and keep his extended family happy under one roof?

Muzi (Gabriel Mini) is a self-made entrepreneur with a head for business. Besides his logic, he has a heart of gold and can’t say no. Mzwa (Nkanyiso Shezi) is a typical teenager who likes to chase after girls, laze at home and ask
his dad for money because it’s easier than getting a job. Zach (Trevor Gumbi) is a bit of a bleached-out actor who’s broke and now wants a permanent roof over his head. Zanele (Samkhe Makhoba) had a good start but the teen’s life took an ugly turn when her dad Zach started going broke and she had to swap suburb life for the township. Lwazi (Swankie Mafoka) is a confident and ambitious single mother and has dedicated her life to her son Gates. She’s a sucker for get-richquick schemes and that always lands her in hot water. Gates (Siyabonga Mabuza) is the township terror and people run in the opposite direction when the youngster walks in. And like all troublemakers, he thrives in causing chaos for everyone around him. Sis Dina (Linda Sebezo) is Muzi’s mother. She’s a former beauty queen and that’s a fact she won’t let anyone forget.
