Twinning around
Fraternal twins Thuli and Thulani have to share their lives, again.
When single-mother Thuli (Tango Ncetezo) is down and out of luck in sitcom Thuli noThulani (2017current), she turns to her twin brother Thulani ( Wright Ngubeni) for help. But Thuli’s timing is inconvenient, as playboy Thulani isn’t willing to give up his bachelor lifestyle for his sister and his 11-year- old niece Mbali (Slindokuhle Tshabalala).
THE PEEPS
Thulani (Wright Ngubeni) is self- centered and a clean freak. He’s got a silver tongue and is driven by the idea of success. Thuli (Tango Ncetezo) is fun, loving and an easy-going person who doesn’t wish harm on anyone. She just wishes she had better luck.
Mbali (Slindokuhle Tshaba
lala) knows who she is and what she wants – and she doesn’t mind putting in the work to get it!
Kaygee (Ebenhaezer Diba
kwane) is an aspiring comic who simply feels like nobody understands him. He is Thulani’s bestie and adds some much-needed comedy relief.
Kitso (Mpho Ranwedzi) is Mbali’s friend who loves skateboarding and living life to the full.
THE TROUBLE
Here’s a taste of the extremes that Thulani goes to to make his sister and niece feel unwelcome in the upcoming 13- episode first season:
1 The Haunted House (episode 2; 16 August): Thulani hopes that the that ghost next- door might scare his house guests away. 2 Pinky Promise (episode 3, 23 August): Mbali is called to the principal’s office for bullying and Thulani uses the situation as blackmail… and to flirt with the headmistress. 2 Mommy Duties (episode 6, 13 September): Thuli is ill, so Thulani takes over the chores to show her how easy it is. Except it’s not fun playing mom, chef, chauffeur and more!
