Need to know: the action picks up six weeks after we last saw Queen Victoria and Prince Albert (Jenna Coleman and Tom Hughes) with their new daughter. Victoria is busy being Queen but she isn’t taking to motherhood, and Prince Albert is feeling rather like her fanciest hat – pretty, but useless. Dame Diana Rigg (Olenna Tyrell in Game of Thrones, 2011- current) joins the cast as Victoria’s new Mistress Of The Robes aka the Duchess of Bucchleuch.
