Snooping Rachel bursts through the door to find Nimza and Pretty looking coy

-

The Seakamela and Kunutu families haven’t agreed on anything since March 2015 when Nimrod Kunutu (Buhle Maseko) tricked MaNtuli Seakamela (Dieketseng Mnisi) into a credit card scam. “She absolutely hates his family! She’s made it public that she hates them but Nimza isn’t the type to listen,” explains Buhle. And that includes her “hands- off” policy with her daughter Pretty (Lerato Maseko). Nimza invites Pretty to hang out at his house on Friday 25 August and Buhle says that “they’re in love. They want to spend time together without their parents finding out. Nimza steals the key for the empty room in his house so that he can have Pretty all to himself”.

OFF GUARD

Although Pretty knows that she isn’t welcome in the Kunutu household, she follows her heart on Friday 25 August. “At first, she’s sceptical and thinks that Nimza has ulterior motives, but it turns out he doesn’t,” says Buhle. “Nimza has genuine feelings for this girl and he’d never put her in a compromising situation.” But what Nimza has forgotten is that his sister Rachel (Lesego Marakalla) is nosy – she walks in on the pair. “It’s awkward and for the first time, Rachel is speechless,” laughs Buhle. Nimza and Pretty beg Rachel to keep quiet but it’s not that easy – she still isn’t over being dumped by Pretty’s brother Kwaito (Clement Maosa) – also in March 2015. “Rachel thinks that she has a one-up on everyone. She has all the power: she’s going to use Pretty to take vengeance on Kwaito and also control Nimza’s moves,” says Buhle.

QUEEN BLACKMAIL

Rachel is back to her bullying best on Monday 28 August and Buhle adds that “Rachel threatens to tell Ma’Ntuli about Pretty’s ‘meeting’ with Nimza and there isn’t a thing that Pretty can say as she doesn’t want to lose Nimza”. Like his secret girlfriend, Nimza too is walking on eggshells around Rachel on Tuesday 29 August. He’s trying to get his parents Celia and John (Shoki Sebotsane and Putla Sehlapelo) to officially let him move to the back room, but before he can get his idea across, “Rachel tells their parents that it isn’t a good idea,” says Buhle. “She doesn’t want Nimza near Pretty at all!”
