Ring-a-ding! It’s proposal time… and a race to the altar!

Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) proposes to Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) on Wednesday 27 September, while Eric Forrester (John McCook) pops the question to Quinn Fuller (Rena Sofer) on Wednesday 4 October. But none of their families are waiting till the wedding day to say why these couples shouldn’t marry at all!
BROOKE & BILL
The ring custom white gold with a diamond, featuring the Spencer Sword bent in a circle. It says everything about Bill and nothing about Brooke. The proposal Bill goes down on one knee and says: “I want the world to know that you’re mine… We embrace life, whether we’re riding in a hot-air balloon in Aspen or riding camels in Dubai. We live, we laugh. And now we’ll do it together. No regrets, Brooke. Only gratitude and appreciation for a second chance. Will you marry me?” Objection! Brooke’s son RJ (Anthony Turpel – see p63) tells her on Tuesday 10 October, “That’s the ugliest ring I’ve ever seen.” And when Brooke reveals that it’s from Bill, he tells her, “I can’t even… shouldn’t you be fixing our family instead of making another mistake? I can’t let you marry Bill Spencer!”
QUINN & ERIC
The ring Eric has opted for a pared-down setting for a dazzling cushion- cut aquamarine – the same icy blue as Quinn’s eyes. The proposal Eric gets down on bended knee and tells Quinn, “You’ve inspired me. It’s the best thing that’s ever happened to me in my life. I can look at a design and I know when it’s right. My instincts call out to me. My instincts are screaming at me. I don’t want to let you go. I never will. I don’t want you to leave this house. I don’t want to leave my side. Or my bed. Marry me.” Objection! Where do we start? The portrait of Eric’s late wife Stephanie (Susan Flannery) crashes down to demonstrate her disapproval from beyond the grave. And on Monday 9 October, the Forrester family even stage an intervention to try talk Eric out of it.
