Killer Women With Piers Morgan

-

Season 2 BBC Brit (*120) 20:00 Doccie

Love him or hate him, you can’t deny that Piers Morgan is good at what he does. And in reality doccie series Killer Women (2016-current), that’s getting to the bottom of women who’ve gone to killer lengths. “I was nervous,” explains the 52-year-old Brit. “These women are so eloquent, cool, calm and collected, then you remember that they are convicted murderers and killers.”

Not that Piers is all that squeaky 1

clean. In 2014, he was exposed for phone hacking celebs like Hugh Grant while editor of tabloid newspaper The Daily Mirror, although Piers still denies any involvement with the crime.

He’s also no slouch when it comes 2

to public feuds, notably getting into a punch-up with former Top Gear (2002-current) host Jeremy Clarkson at the 2004 British Press Awards. Jeremy also poured water over Piers’ head in 2003 while flying on Concorde.

The investigative journo has been 3

in the business since varsity, studying media and journalism at Harlow College, one of the UK’s most prestigious journalism schools.

Morgan isn’t his given surname – 4

he was born Piers Stefan O’Meara. Morgan is his stepdad’s surname, which he has used since he was a teen.

Like any true sports fan, he isn’t 5

shy at hitting out at his favourite team: Arsenal football club. “We have become complacent. We are being left behind and I’m allowed vent,” he says.

Something he does take seriously 6

is death threats from militia group ISIS. They’ve threatened him on Twitter, as well as Piers’ journalist second wife Celia Walden (41) and his sons Spencer (24), Stanley (20) and Albert (16).
