• 7 000 episodes have aired in over 100 countries around the world.

• On average, Bold has filmed, edited and aired 233 episodes every year since 1987.

• About 35 million viewers tune in to watch episodes daily.

• Over 3 976 episodes were simulcast in Spanish.

• The soap has used 11 internatio­nal locations for filming but while they were in South Africa a few years ago, they never shot here – it was simply a press tour.

• To date, Bold has been nominated for 233 Daytime Emmy Awards, taking home 77 of them.

• It also holds the Guinness World Record for The Most Popular Soap Opera- Current.

• The actors have had to learn over 337 500 pages of dialogue.

• Besides Katherine, the only actor left from the original cast line-up is John McCook (Eric Forrester).

• Three different opening sequences are used currently.

• The design team have had to build nearly 1 700 sets over the years.

• It’s a lot of work making everyone look good – the hair and make-up team use 1 537 cans of hairspray and 356 tubes of lipstick a season.

• Maya’s (Karla Mosley) transgende­r storyline in 2015 was the 13th social issue that Bold tackled and it was also the first transgende­r wedding to feature on daytime TV.

• The Forrester brothers have both been played by three actors. Ridge by Ronn Moss (1987-2012), Lane Davies in 1992 and Thorsten Kay since 2013. And Thorne by Clayton Norcross (1987-1989), Jeff Trachta (1989-1996) and Winsor Harmon since 1996.
