Run, Brady (Eric Martsolf), run! The fur will start to fly when Kristen DiMera (Eileen Davidson) bumps into Brady’s drug buddy and exVegas bride (and secret dad basher) Theresa (Jen Lilley) on Wednesday 8 November. “I know who you are,” Theresa says. “You’re Brady’s psycho ex-fiancée.” But Theresa has meddled with the wrong psycho this time and Kristen claps back: “Back in LA, weren’t you facing charges of fraud? Possession of cocaine, possession of a controlled substance, intent to distribute, shoplifting. Have I left anything out?” Grab the popcorn, Days lovers, because this battle is just starting…
BOO HOO, SHE’S MEAN
When Theresa doesn’t seem sufficiently crushed, Kristen asks why Theresa’s marriage to Brady was over so quickly. “Did he roll over the next morning and start screaming?” And once she’s wiped the floor with her rival for Brady’s affections, Kristen warns Theresa that “You stay away from Brady. I’m back, you little b***h. I’m looking out for Brady. He doesn’t need you sneaking around, especially when he’s made it very clear he does not want you.” Eileen laughs, “I love that Kristen and Theresa are two crazy women and it’s so much fun! I like the way Kristen treats her like she’s just a gnat!” Unimpressed, a cocky Theresa gasps, “I am being threatened by a big, bad DiMera. I’m so scared.”
THE UPPER HAND
A little while later, Theresa tells her nasty bestie Anne (Meredith Scott Lynn) that having Kristen back in Salem is the best thing that could have happened for Brady and Theresa’s relationship. “I should call him and tell him that Kristen said all these awful things. I’m just so scared,” she says gleefully. But Theresa is willing to hold off until the time is just right. “Once that old man (Brady’s comatose dad John, played by Drake Hogestyn) gets shipped off to the vegetable farm, that’s when I’ll come crying for help,” she explains to Anne. But on Wednesday 15 November, Theresa is in for a shock when she visits the Kiriakis mansion to see Brady and runs into Kristen again. Kristen is feeling rather smug since her dad Stefano (Joseph Mascolo) has given her a drug that could be John’s only hope of recovering. Brady will be so grateful, especially as he still believes that he attacked John and put him in a coma on Tuesday 19 September.
CATFIGHT TIME!
Theresa drops her drink but recovers quickly with a distraction and rubs Kristen’s nose in the fact that she has just enjoyed a sexy tryst with Brady. Confronted with the dirty details like “Brady was so intense. I thought he was gonna die. And we loved every second of it. Those sheets were so hot!”, Kristen springs into an attack like a vicious cougar, shoves Theresa against a door and tries to throttle her before tossing her around the room. After Maggie (Suzanne Rogers) interrupts them, Kristen starts thinking clearly and this clever DiMera figures out why Theresa might not have been leaping for joy at the thought of John recovering. Now if she can just get Brady to believe her…
As for the man in the middle, “Salem is full of cuckoos,” Eric quips. “When it comes to women, the guy just can’t get it right. Theresa needs help. Kristen DiMera needs a lot of help. And Brady seems to fall into these pathways of women that are less than stable.”
