John is tempted to sin again and considers turning his back on Meikie to go back to his on- off mistress Charity. A date is set for abusive Dennis to have his day in court and he badmouths his wife Sthoko in an attempt to avoid any jailtime. Lehasa struggles to find commonground with his aggressive wife Zandile (Matshepo Maleme), and the culinary academy grinds to a halt as yet another scandal threatens it. Leeto loses an important court case and he questions his job as a defence lawyer, and Clement believes that his world is crumbling after his dad Dennis takes a beating in court.
DECEMBER
Zandile is calling all the shots in the Maphosa household and Lehasa is terrified of standing up to her. Lelo tries to make the best of her new job as a petrol attendant, and Candice tries to rescue her boyfriend Kat by revealing Hazel’s messy past. Lelo reaches out to Sis’Ouma for advice on settling into her new job, Leshole worries about his future while waiting for the matric exam results, and Lehasa wants to crush his wife before she can take everything he’s worked so hard for. Zandile turns to Lelo for help ruining Lehasa’s life, and Marothi’s plan for the talent competition is as evil as he is. Mokgadi has a breakdown while searching for her real son, and Rachel is upset about her past year.
JANUARY
BigBoy and Leshole win the talent show but the other competitors smell a rat, and Fanie returns to his life of crime to make a quick buck. The matric results are revealed and there are mixed fortunes for the students, and Katlego’s dreams lie in ruins at the culinary school thanks to a misunderstanding. Mokgadi lashes out at her mom Mary again for interfering with Noah, and Leshole considers leaving Turfloop to give himself a better future.
