Gabriel’s return to Horizon Deep hasn’t worked out as he’d planned, and Nina is more unsure of herself than ever after getting the DNA results. Lerato’s business is booming and she’s almost at the point of turning clients away, while Nina has a surprise visitor begging for a job. Matlala has news for Georgie but isn’t sure how to tell him, and Gabriel reports for his first day at work but he isn’t ready for what he’s greeted by. Lerato’s business later goes through a bit of a lull and she’s desperate to get back to being famous and in-demand.
DECEMBER
Nina gets an unwelcome surprise from Nikiwe and Kgothalo about one of her business interests, and Nina lashes out about the DNA test and threatens Matlala. Lerato has big plans for her business but Sechaba isn’t sure it’s feasible, and Gabriel is in the dark about his shares in The Rec. Matlala goes on the run rather than face the truth, and Lerato is down on her hands and knees begging Sechaba to help her with her salon dreams. A newspaper story brings bad news to Horizon Deep, and the DNA test saga is still weighing heavy on the Zamdelas. Nikiwe continues her anti-women abuse demonstration, and Wendy is surprised when she bumps into a destitute Morongwa. Ben asks Rajesh an “interesting” question about a friends-with-benefits situation, and Lerato gets ready to give her salon a complete overhaul.
JANUARY
Zandre is willing to anger his parents when it comes to his studying, while a photo in the papers gets Nikiwe in a fighting mood. Sechaba keeps an eye on Lerato and Kgothalo’s bonding at work, and there’s more drama in the Lategan house, but this time it’s Anja at the centre of the trouble.
