Chad saves Jordan from an attacker, and Will’s editor Zoe asks him to write a feature about Chad. Chad and Ben fight over Abby, while Sami reminds Roman of his feelings for Marlena when he complains about her reuniting with EJ. EJ and Sami exchange rings and vows in bed after sex, and a sleazy Clyde demands dinner with Kate and pressures her to go into business with him. Clyde goes behind EJ’s back to deal with his henchmen, and Kate tells Clyde that she wants EJ gone. John is out of his coma but he has amnesia, much to Theresa’s relief, and EJ’s mom Susan (Eileen Davidson) rocks up at the DiMera Mansion.
DECEMBER
Paige finds out that Jack raped Kayla, and Paige is shocked when JJ refuses to have sex with her. Jill messes up Eve’s plot to break up Paige and JJ, and Marlena and John are reunited. John remembers Theresa hitting him, Brady thanks Kristen for saving John, and Kristen finds proof that Theresa hit John. Ciara sulks about Hope dating Aiden, and Susan warns EJ that he is surrounded by evil. EJ dies in
JANUARY
Sami’s arms after his fight with Clyde, and Stefano has EJ’s corpse removed from the morgue. Kate and Chad suspend their plot against Stefano as the DiMeras go into mourning, and Clyde frames Sami for EJ’s murder. Sami and Nicole mourn EJ’s death together, and Sami invites Will to go to Hollywood with her after an acting agent wants to turn Sami’s mob life into a movie – but Sonny doesn’t want to leave Salem. Sonny waves a tearful but supportive goodbye as Will, Sami and the children leave for Hollywood. Brady sees Daniel and Kristen in bed, and Kristen secretly steals Theresa’s foetus after discovering that she’s pregnant by Brady. Brady dumps Theresa for being a “big, fat, not-pregnant liar”. Theresa sets her sights on someone new – baseball star Paul Narita (Christopher Sean) – but Paul kisses Sonny. Aiden and Hope have sex, as do JJ and Eve. Jordan pulls a gun on Clyde and accuses him of raping her when she was young, and Chad forces Kate to appoint him as co- CEO of DiMera Enterprises. John is forced to leave Salem on business, Marlena takes on Clyde as a patient, and Clyde and Kate have sex. Melanie (Molly Burnett) returns to Salem with a bag full of cash, and Abby and Ben’s romance blossoms, as does Nicole and Daniel’s.
