Steffy in the middle
Steffy’s new CEO job causes for brothers Liam and Wyatt.
For most of 2017, Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) was caught in a love-triangle with her soon-to-be-ex-hubby Wyatt (Darin Brooks) and his brother Liam (Scott Clifton), who is also Steffy’s ex-hubby. Tensions have been rising since midJanuary after grampa Eric (John McCook) and wife Quinn (Rena Sofer) made Steffy CEO of Forrester Creations, and there is something else that Eric wants on Wednesday 31 January. He suggests that Steffy move in with “Wyatt, Quinn and me”. And that’s when it hits Steffy that “her appointment as CEO was a way for Eric and Quinn to get her and Wyatt closer and her out of Liam’s arms,” says Jacqueline. And Steffy isn’t the only one who isn’t pleased with this ploy…
NO SURPRISE
Liam doesn’t like Quinn or Eric and he isn’t surprised when Steffy reveals what has been asked of her. “He knew that her CEO appointment was a move to drive a wedge between them and push Steffy back to Wyatt,” teases executive producer and headwriter Bradley Bell. While Steffy tells Liam that “it’s only temporarily until the divorce is finalised”, Liam thinks that the writing is on the wall. He loses his cool during a Forrester board meeting on Friday 2 February when “PR superstar” Wyatt unveils, Steffy’s social media campaign “S”, along with the sexy snaps of Steffy that Wyatt took. “It’s demeaning to the CEO and the company and I’m not okay with that,” Liam yells at Wyatt, who brushes off the verbal tirade.
NO HOPE
Liam turns to Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) for support on Monday 5 February, telling him that “I can feel her slipping into Wyatt’s arms. And there is not a damn thing I can do”. Wyatt meanwhile is at the Forrester offices begging Steffy to come back to him. “There is nothing you and I cannot accomplish. With family by our side, we can’t fail.” Who will Steffy choose: nagging Liam or begging Wyatt?
