Namhla’s world falls apart when the police ask her to identify Zach’s corpse, and Mrekza starts his revenge plot to destroy his girlfriend Lucy by poaching waiters from her restaurant S’khaftin Chicken. Gadaffi is on the spot when his ex-wife Tshidi unexpectedly arrives back in town, and Sphe tries to revive the spark in her failing marriage to Mazwi. Tshidi is furious that Gadaffi appointed her brother Tau as manager at her marketing company #hashTag World. Lesedi tries to gain popularity at her new school by teaming up with troubled student Jason (Joshua Dukwa) in bullying Brandon. Namhla is scared to tell the police that Gadaffi ordered Zach’s murder, and Lucy hires an all- girl waitressing team to replace Mrekza’s old staff.
APRIL
The Diales tell Lesedi to invite Brandon to their house, and Getty wants to make peace with her dead loanshark Bra’Pops’ (Thulane Kubheka) spirit, as well as confess to his family that her sister Lucy stabbed him to death in June 2015. Michael and Zoe fight over her irresponsible parenting, and Mazwi’s speech is interrupted by the villagers who voice their concerns about the land development project. Mrekza crawls back to ask Lucy for another chance at love when his plan to destroy her business fails, and Fana considers dropping out of the land development project after witnessing the trouble between the villagers and the Morokas. Lucy pushes Mrekza away, and Zoe begs the Diales to help search for Brandon. Sphe and her mom Nandi are held captive, and Lesedi uses Jason’s tricks on him and scares him off with a knife. Later, Nandi jumps in front of a bullet to protect Sphe.
MAY
Mrekza gets Lucy to take him back but he is still scheming to steal her business ideas, and Getty regrets her sangoma career when she comes clean about Bra’Pop’s murder. Elsewhere, Namhla is terrified after being kidnapped.
