Health woes & twin trouble turn Hillside on its head

Justin worries about Diederik’s health, and Lesedi puts Jacob in his place. Nozi finds a new home, Thomas is behaving strangely and this worries his mother Esti, and Bonita starts a new flower business and gets a contract with Bruynwaves for a function without Vanessa’s knowledge. Hilda bakes to help her new young friends raise money for their charity, and Charmaine goes on a well- deserved vacation trip with her biker boyfriend Mike (James Borthwick). Esti receives a phonecall from Thomas’s school about his unacceptable behaviour, and Amorey refuses to forgive Willem. Diederik isn’t his usual friendly self, and Charmaine’s villain twin Vivian (also played by Vinette Ebrahim) returns! Matrone and Hilda get a strange feeling after eating some of the brownies that Hilda baked, and Alexa is home from Africa and she’s got rid of her snobbish attitude and dress, instead being friendly and dressing more casually.
APRIL
Justin gets a new love interest, while things are also looking bright for Vince and Aggie in the romance department. Diederik needs to get the poison out of his system, and schoolyard bully Jacques (Ruan Wessels) makes Thomas’s life a nightmare. Rickus’s health is worsening by the day and it frustrates him, and Justin is ready to let go of his ex-fiancée Amanda (Carina Nel) and be happy with his new girlfriend. Vanessa is furious when she finds out her employees lied to her about a blog project. Amorey blames herself for Diederik’s current state of health, and André and Connie are smitten. Hilda can’t believe that she was blindsided and worries that she’ll be in trouble with the law, and Xander and Bonita get closer. Nozi loves her new braids, and Amorey gets the chance to work in Oppiekoffie’s kitchen.
MAY
Olivia stresses when Rickus’s health gets worse and the doctors can’t help, and Justin and his new girlfriend can’t keep their hands off each other. Marko and Esti’s relationship is tested when Thomas butts heads with someone close to Marko, and Diederik is finally on the road to recovery but it may not last that long. Vanessa is happy for the first time since her marriage fell apart, and Charmaine tries to pick up the pieces of her life. Elsewhere in Hillside, Amorey decides to steer her career in a new direction when she gets involved with Marko’s restaurant Stasie Ses.
