MARCH

Lindiwe tries to distance herself from Thato’s murder investigation as the police dig closer to her. Making matters worse, Zolani’s biological mother arrives in town and quickly sets about opening old wounds.

APRIL

Cobra returns to his old lifestyle and lands feet first in trouble. Lindiwe has no problem throwing a family member under the bus for an important business deal, and Cobra’s family are in trouble thanks to him.

WE ASKED…

Due to its tight production schedule, The River wasn’t able to provide episode synopses for May.

PREVIOUSLY

Lindiwe murdered her employee Thato to keep her diamond mine operating after he found a new supply of huge diamonds in a river. Cobra struggled to accept his dad Thato’s sudden death, and Happy delivered a threat to Lindiwe and her adoptive son Zolani.

14 – 16 FEBRUARY

Lindiwe’s mind races as she plans to pin Thato’s murder on Happy instead, and Zolani destroys any evidence that could lead the police back to him and Lindiwe. Malefu is devastated when she discovers the letter that her husband Thato wrote for her before he died, and Cobra and his sister Itumeleng believe that Lindiwe is linked to their dad’s death and they investigate her. Lindiwe has her back to the wall when the police want to question her about Thatho’s death, and Itumeleng is battling to contain her grief.

19 – 23 FEBRUARY

Itumeleng plans to get access to Lindiwe by seducing Zolani and wrapping him around her little finger, and Lindiwe gives her son Andile some motherly advice by telling him to marry his girlfriend Faith. Zolani asks Itumeleng to go on a date with him, and later that night Itumeleng breaks into Lindiwe’s car to look for any evidence that she murdered Thato. Lindiwe is ready for war when the mine’s board undermine and disrespect her, and Itumeleng’s plan seems to be working as she worms her way deeper into Lindiwe family life.

26 – 27 FEBRUARY

A sudden development worries Itumeleng that she’s going too far and too fast with Zolani, and married business partners Lindiwe and Zweli plan their wedding anniversary dinner. Elsewhere and unlike his sister, Cobra has a coping mechanism for his loss: his acquaintance Paulina.
