Emkay’s romance with Eunice is wrecked by a letter.

Playboy Emkay (Mlungisi Mathe) claims to be a changed man, having turned over a new leaf in midFebruary to focus on his romance with naïve new girlfriend Eunice (Oratile Maitisa). But while Eunice wants to give him the benefit of the doubt, the devil on her shoulder tells her to snoop on Emkay’s phone on Wednesday 28 February – and bang! She finds a message from another girl. Is this the end of their bad romance?

“Eunice is beyond angry! She confronts Emkay [on Wednesday 28 February] but he maintains his innocence,” explains Mlungisi. It’s no secret that he’s a serial cheat, but Eunice ignored naysayers and chose to date Emkay when he promised that he wouldn’t go back to his old ways. “She is in a difficult position. With her back against the wall, Eunice lets Emkay off the hook when he insists that he can prove that he isn’t interested in other girls.”
Emkay calls in the cavalry on Thursday 1 March in the form of his bestie Kwaito (Clement Maosa) to clear up this phone mess. “Kwaito tells the girl who’s messaging Emkay to stop. He tells Eunice that Emkay is 100% innocent,” explains Mlungisi. Clearly more naïve than viewers thought, Eunice feels bad for making Emkay run round like a headless chicken and she “rewards” him by offering to spend the night in his dorm room on Friday 2 March. “She is under self-pressure and worries that if she doesn’t sleep with Emkay, someone else will. She’s desperate to keep their spark alive after the misunderstanding and believes that this offer will make Emkay a 100% loyal to her,” says Mlungisi.
KICKED TO THE CURB
While the pair think that they’ve got away with their sneaking around the dorms, Emkay takes a kick to the groin on Tuesday 6 March in the form of a letter from Res Management. “They are suspending him from res for having Eunice in his room. This is trouble that he didn’t want or need,” explains Mlungisi. In fact, he’s been a magnet for drama ever since he started dating Eunice in mid-February, so the easy thing to do is ditch the drama – Emkay sends Eunice packing on Thursday 8 March. “He tells her that he needs a break. He wants the romance to work but he isn’t ready in the drama involved in making it work,” reveals Mlungisi. Poor Emkay should’ve read the fineprint first – getting rid of a clingy girl like Eunice isn’t going to be easy!
