Ed’s letter
Now that it’s aired on 1Magic and hopefully viewers have caught up with the current episodes, I have to get something off my chest: I wasn’t a big fan of the crossover of The Fixer and How To Get Away With Murder – there, I said it! Shonda Rhimes is a genius writer and producer and this is why I remain loyal to both shows. But the current seasons, especially the crossover episode, was a tad over the top. I felt that Shonda possibly had writer’s block and the crossover was an attempt to give the dramas a new direction. But I’m sure that isn’t the case… right? Maybe it had something to do with viewership or there’s a better explanation as to why Shonda felt that Annalise and Olivia needed to be onscreen together – it just didn’t work for me. Each show lost a little identity. But then again, I’m sure many others would disagree and say that they were amazing episodes. And that’s okay!
