Kwaito and Tbose land in the bunker by attacking Mr Spiller.
Tbose (Cornet Mamabolo) wants his varsity roommate Kwaito (Clement Maosa) to report his lecturer Mr Spiller (Jurgen Hellberg) for stealing his engineering project in March, but Kwaito has other plans on Wednesday 11 April. Kwaito’s dodgy IT friend Fanie (Gift Mokampanyane) hands him an access card to the golf course where Spiller is a member and on Friday 13 April, Kwaito gets ready to pounce. “Tbose doesn’t have a good feeling about it, sneaking up on Mr Spiller out in the open,” warns Cornet. “He tries to stop Kwaito but his mind is made up.” And with a temper and golf clubs close at hand, cheating Mr Spiller’s safety isn’t guaranteed to last…

Kwaito and Mr Spiller’s fight blows up on Monday 16 April but it’s not clear who’s wrong, admits Cornet. To Mr Spiller’s understanding, he bought the prototype on Monday 19 March from Kwaito, who used the money for his sister Pretty’s (Lerato Marabe) varsity debt. “Kwaito refutes this,” says Cornet defiantly, “and Mr Spiller changes his story. He claims that the money was actually an advance on the salary that Kwaito would earn at his engineering company after graduating”. Kwaito demands his prototype back, but no sooner has Mr Spiller told him to get lost than Spiller “is lying unconscious on the ground bleeding. Kwaito and Tbose think that he’s dead and the pair flee the crime scene,” whispers Cornet.
WATER HAZARD
Realising what they’ve done, Kwaito and Tbose hand themselves to the cops in on Friday 20 April, still unaware of Mr Spiller’s fate. But that isn’t their biggest concern: in 2014 they were arrested for the hit-and-run accident that killed Ben Kunutu. “Kwaito wants to face the consequences alone but his pal isn’t leaving his side,” says Cornet. Tbose’s lawyer brother Leeto (Eric Macheru) gets them bail on Monday 23 April but only because of the lack of evidence. “They’re not in the clear yet,” warns Cornet. “Spiller’s body is yet to be found…”
