Backstabbing hattrick

Sonny remembers everything – and his park attacker wasn’t the only one to put a knife in his back.

-

Derrick (Spencer Neville) the blabbermouth bellboy at Paul’s (Christopher Sean) hotel has really put his foot in it this time – and there are consequences! Just before Sonny (Freddie Smith) was stabbed in the park on Thursday 5 April, Derrick – who is blissfully unaware that Will (Guy Wilson) is Sonny’s hubby – told Sonny that Paul is having an affair with “that writer guy” Will Horton. Sonny’s memory has been foggy since he woke up in hospital on Tuesday 10 April, but on Tuesday 17 April, meddling Derrick tells Paul that he thinks Sonny is still in love with him. And Paul is in for another shock when he visits Sonny in hospital to declare his love on Wednesday 18 April. The confession triggers Sonny’s memory and he gives Paul a death glare on Thursday 19 April before seething at him, “I didn’t tell you to sleep with my husband!” Wait, whose husband?

BROKEN VOWS

Will lied by never wearing his wedding ring around Sonny but that’s not his only crime of passion. He’s gone from honeymooning with Sonny to breaking every single vow, as well as being unfaithful to his none-the-wiser husband. “There was the exposé article that Will wrote. Then he took off for months to work in Hollywood. And let’s not forget about Sonny’s financial secrets. But this thing between Will and Paul creates a real trust issue and it isn’t like keeping little secrets to protect somebody in the family. It’s not about money. This is a breaking of their vows. It’s a very different level of trust being broken,” explains Freddie.

CAUGHT OUT!

Oblivious to this all, Will visits Sonny on Thursday 19 April to brag about his recently published article about Paul coming out as gay. But Sonny doesn’t let his husband linger in the spotlight for long. Sonny lifts the lid on Will’s can of worms on Friday 20 April and as Will desperately tries to justify himself and even tries to shift the blame to Sonny on Monday 23 April, Sonny pointedly tells him, “You whored yourself out for a stupid magazine article!” Take a bow, cruel and conniving mom Sami (Alison Sweeney) – it looks like Will is a real chip off the old block.
