Alexa is furious when businessman Fikani reveals that he’s also her new colleague at the Hillside Clinic.

Hillside’s resident doctor Alexa (Carina Nel) has been butting heads with T&T sports sport owner Fikani (Nicolas Nkuna) since March this year and it’s not going to get better. On Wednesday 9 May, he reveals that he is also a doctor and will be working alongside her at the Hillside clinic, which makes Alexa feel like her job is under threat. And that is something she will not accept!
A HUGE MISTAKE
“Alexa doesn’t trust Fikani,” says Carina. “He hasn’t practiced for years and even though she doesn’t know the reason yet, Alexa believes something serious must have happened for him to leave it all behind.” Fikani’s status as a doctor landed him a position at the clinic after he performed an emergency surgery on Friday 6 May when no surgeons were able to assist. “Alexa is only a general practitioner and wanted to step in and help with the operation, but she lacks experience and this is why the clinic officials asked Fikani to step in despite him not having his own practice.” Later on Wednesday 9 May, Alexa in a rage tells Fikani that the clinic officials made a grave mistake by hiring him and they will regret it!
SECOND CHANCE
Nicolas says that “Fikani is upset by Alexa’s animosity towards him, but he won’t allow this second chance at being a doctor to slip through his precise hands”. Fikani starts making plans from Monday 14 May to find a new manager for T&T as his replacement and he strongly considers offering the position to Willem (Marcus Haywood) but he isn’t sure Willem will take it. That isn’t going to dull the tension between Alexa and Fikani and viewers will find out why Alexa may never be able to trust him on Tuesday 15 May. Carina has a softer heart and admits that “hopefully Fikani proves himself competent to Alexa and she will loosen up and give him a fair chance”.
