Rock a stolen frock

Shirley Spectra is hard at work to put her family firmly back on the fashion map.

Nothing can stop a determined Shirley (Patrika Darbo) from making sure that Spectra Fashions’ second attempt at a runway spectacle on Friday 18 May is a success, thanks to a stolen Forrester design or two. Spectra’s first fashion show on Friday 30 March was a disaster after bad- guy businessman Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) paid journalists not to attend and paid the sole writer to write- off the designs. “The Spectras are survivors. Shirley is here for her family, come hell or high water,” warns Patrika.

ROCK THE FROCK

Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) shamelessly walks the ramp in a Forrester knock- off frock straight from the sketchpad. Sally’s sister Coco (Courtney Grosbeck) has been working at Forrester as an intern, unaware that the brooch Shirley gave her on Thursday 12 April has a spy- cam in it. “We’re going to rock! Today will be blazed into fashion history!” Shirley tells Sally.

LIGHTS, CAMERAS, FRAUD

But Sally’s excitement is short-lived when her conscience has her questioning Shirley’s treachery. But Shirley snaps back: “Loose lips sink ships and these are your designs… with a little help from your friends.” And Shirley’s tongue-lashing doesn’t end there on Friday 18 May and she yells at a model, “Is that lipstick or a disease? Fix it!” As the models take to the runway, it dawns on Coco that she’s looking at Forrester designs. Her date for the night Thomas Forrester (Pierson Fodé) is gobsmacked. “How could you?” he asks Sally after the show on Monday 21 May. “You and your family are nothing more than thieves.” Hearing the commotion, Sally realises what is happening, explains Courtney. “She knows the writing is on the wall for her. The Forresters will seek revenge”.

Sally is the laughing stock in her “Spectra” outfit. Shirley hasn’t told Sally about the stolen designs.

Sally doesn’t realise that the sketches are knicked.
