BABY-TRAP BREAK UP! LUCY DUMPS MREKZA FOR POKING HOLES IN THE CONDOM
Mrekza and Lucy’s romance is on the rocks again when she refuses to have his baby.

Career criminal-turned- entrepreneur Mrekza (Kope Makgae) is raking in cash with his club, so the only thing missing from his life is a baby, but not for lack of effort. Mrekza has been trying to convince his restaurant-boss girlfriend Lucy (Manaka Ranaka) to give him an heir for months but she’s made it crystal clear that she’s not having any more children. Lucy was away in prison while her teen daughter Namhla ( Thulisile Phongolo) was growing up and she doesn’t want to disappoint another child, hints Kope. “Lucy overthinks things. She says that she’s too old to have another baby and she doesn’t want to bring a child into her already chaotic world.” But Lucy’s defence isn’t going to stop Mrekza from getting the baby that he wants, with or without her permission.
ROBBING THE CRADLE
When Lucy steps out of their bedroom on Wednesday 9 May, Mrekza puts his plan in motion. “Like the dodgy guy that he is, he pierces a condom with a needle and hides it in his pocket when he hears Lucy coming. He should’ve got rid of the evidence because Lucy finds it later,” explains Kope. Feeling used and disappointed, Lucy throws her boyfriend out, not for the first time. “She dumps him on the spot! They can’t find a middle ground and Lucy believes that it’s better if they break up than constantly argue about having a baby,” adds the actor. It isn’t easy for Lucy to let go of the man she loves and she has a meltdown on Thursday 10 May, regretting her rash decision. Kope reveals that “Mrekza and Lucy are soulmates but they are both stubborn and neither wants to compromise. Instead of begging, he tries to forget about Lucy and goes hunting for a woman who is willing to have kids with him”
MOVING ON
Mrekza starts his one-night-stand rush on Monday 14 May with a stranger that he meets at his club. “But he wakes up with Lucy on his mind the next morning,” says Kope. Usually after a dispute, Mrekza is the one who gives into Lucy’s demands, but not this time explains the actor. “Even when Lucy begs him for a second chance at love on Thursday 17 May – he doesn’t budge. Mrekza wants Lucy to take his feeling into consideraation. He will only get back to her if she promises to help him be a dad.” As they always say, never say never…
