The coldest shoulder
Palesa swears revenge on her stepmom Claudia and on-off flame Bhambatha for their cruel betrayal.
Varsity student Palesa (Nolo Seabi) is surprised on Thursday 19 July when she hears a familiar voice coming from her property-mogul stepmom Claudia’s (Chichi Letswalo) office – it’s her sometimes boyfriend Bhambatha (Lemogang Tsipa). “She is curious as to why he is there,” says a bemused Nolo. Palesa continues eavesdropping but she’ll wish she didn’t pop in for a visit. “It turns sour – she hears them discussing their one-night stand from June. She barges in and they’re kissing! Caught in the act, they can’t look at her,” adds Nolo. Palesa’s next “errand” will be to pack her bags and move out from under Claudia the conniver’s roof!
TOO CLOSE TO HOME
Having leverage over Claudia – like being ready to tell her prisoner dad Banzi (Hamilton Dlamini) what his wife has been up to – Palesa demands that Claudia give her a place to stay in the family’s apartment complex on Friday 20 July. “Claudia refuses. Terminating a lease agreement isn’t as easy as Palesa thinks,” says Nolo. Instead, Claudia tries to get Palesa to forgive and forget. “She begs Palesa and promises that if she moves back, everything will be okay,” adds Nolo. Palesa knows just how manipulative Claudia and Banzi are, so she wisely declines “the offer”. After asking around, the youngster learns that her varsity friends Sne and Anathi (Londeka Mchunu and Zimkhitha Nyoka) need a dorm roommate and she moves in with them. “For the first time, Palesa is on her own, financially and emotionally. But before she can plot Claudia’s downfall, she needs a job!” says Nolo with a giggle.
A WOMAN SCORNED
Bhambatha is in the dog box. But he should be used to it – he cheated on Palesa in late 2017 with varsity student body president Tsakane (Maya Wegerif). “He promised to never betray her again, so she took him back,” explains Nolo. “But it was a lie. The trust is gone. Palesa is done with Bhambatha for good,” says Nolo. If the boy was smart, he’d run – Banzi is about to be released and “no one hurts his little girl,” warns the actress. As for Claudia, she’s woken a sleeping lion and he is as hungry for blood as his cub Palesa.
