Paige in a rage
Paige spots the problem and forces her mom and boyfriend to confess their sins – at her party!
If you found out that your mom and your boyfriend – the guy you gave your virginity to – have been having sex behind your back and it’s probably the reason he dumped you and crushed your heart, would you: Slap your mom for claiming that you haven’t just overheard them discussing their affair “because you’re dreaming” (on Thursday 19 July). Hurl the cake that your boyfriend gives you at your surprise birthday party to the ground, slap him and force him to publicly confess in front of your guests that he is a gross little mommy molester (on Friday 20 July). Or give your cheating ex “that face” when he tries to claim that he cheated on you (with your mother) because he didn’t feel he was good enough for you (on Monday 30 July).
Well… why not all three? Short of murder, there’s probably very little that Paige (True O’Brien) could do right now that could be called an over-reaction to uncovering JJ’s (Casey Moss) affair with her mom Eve (Kassie DePaiva).
FORGIVENESS
“I think it will be harder to forgive Eve than to forgive JJ, because Eve is her mother. She gave birth to her. And for that level of betrayal, that goes pretty deep,” explains True. “Someone who’s been with you your entire life, who’s raised you, who you’ve been through everything with, someone who you put so much energy into nursing back after devastating life events? Definitely.” JJ and Eve’s betrayal is going to tear Paige to shreds emotionally and True adds, “When you love someone, you want to hate them, but you love them so much, so it keeps driving. It’s conflicting. You still love them, you can’t help it”.
NOT GOOD ENOUGH!
JJ tries to explain his choices to Paige on Monday 30 July and it’s something Casey reveals is a struggle: “When you don’t believe that you’re good enough, you look for reasons why you aren’t. So when the first thing comes along where you can prove to yourself you’re good enough, you jump on it.” Sorry, JJ – we’d still be pulling “that face” and the love-rats should watch their backs because they’re about to meet Paige’s dark side. “She is Eve’s daughter – the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. When the innocent fall, it’s a whole different story,” says True with glee.
