There was no singing of Kumbaya around the campfire when Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) returned to Los Angeles on Thursday 5 July and walked back into the Forresters’ lives. She has been a thorn in their sides for about 30 years, repeatedly striking where it hurts most. Now she’s taking aim at ailing patriarch Eric (John McCook) and nothing is going to stop her – not even Eric’s wife Quinn (Rena Sofer), thanks to a little snooping…
TRUTH BE TOLD
Sheila convinces Forrester Creations’ bumbling security guard Charlie (Dick Christie) to help her with a favour on Wednesday 1 August and he unknowingly exposes Ridge’s (Thorsten Kaye) affair with stepmom Quinn. “It’s then that she knows that there is more to this ‘friendship’ than meets the eye,” Kimberlin explains. Without hesitation, Sheila scoots over to the Forrester mansion, screaming Eric’s name. “The way I have always justified the things that Sheila does is because she wants so desperately to be loved. Sheila believes that Eric is the one person who truly loved her [they were engaged in 1993 when Sheila was the in-house nurse at Forrester Creations]. That’s a feeling that she wants again,” says the actress. And how better to win back Eric than expose his wife and son for their affair on Friday 3 August.
BE GONE!
Eric doesn’t welcome the allegations lightly. “You’re insane! Get out,” he yells at a bemused Sheila on Monday 6 August as Quinn and Ridge show up. Sheila turns around with a smug look and says to them, “’Fess up and tell the truth.” Steaming, Eric kicks them all out, telling Sheila with a sigh of pain, “Of all the people, you’re now the only one I can trust.” And it’s going to force the Forrester patriarch into an unimaginable move on Monday 13 August: out of the Forrester mansion and into a motel on Tuesday 14 August, which is where Sheila steals a kiss from him…
