Timmy has fake-it-’til-you-date-it plans to hide his sad, single life from his mom.

There is a dark cloud looming in Timmy’s life, according to actor Charlie Bouguenon, and her name is Guinevere (Patricia Boyer)… or should we call her Mommy Dearest? Timmy is in a tizzy on Friday 31 August because Mama is coming to town on Thursday 6 September and her first question when she sees his face will be about whether he’s gotten someone to kiss it yet. “She is quite a lot! He knows that it’s pretty much going to be the entire focus of her trip because she kind of lives vicariously through Timmy,” says Charles. Her darling boy is still sadly single though. “Timothy is a hopeless romantic at heart but I wouldn’t say that he’s a Casanova,” says the actor. “Ja, shame, he hasn’t really been lucky in love and he is dedicated to his work that he’s there on call pretty much all the time so he doesn’t really have a lot of spare time.” That’s not to say that Timmy hasn’t had his eye on someone for a while now… and he has secret dreams of turning this tricky situation to his advantage.
GIRLFRIEND EXPERIENCE
Timmy has a woe-is-me plea up his sleeves, along with a hard-luck tale of his online dating experiences. “How bad could this be? Well, famous last words,” hints Charles. And he’s hoping that the woman of his dreams will take pity on him on Monday 3 September. “Timmy definitely feels that he is punching above his weight with these women,” says Charles. “He gets giddy around beautiful women and especially beautiful, strong, independent women. He can’t quite keep himself together. And he’s managed to befriend these women even though his deep, hidden desire is that they would be the dream girl. He is hoping that if they pretend, maybe it will accidentally flourish into true love. Kind of goes fake-it-’til-you-make-it. He lives on that hope.”
TIMMY TROUBLE
But in true Timmy style, he will soon find himself hopelessly tangled in a web of lies. “Along the way some, people misinterpret the information and go out and try to get other people involved. It all gets lost in translation. Things go awry and in Timmy fashion, it all escalates,” reveals Charles. For one thing, Guinevere isn’t going to be as enchanted with Timmy’s fake girlfriend as he is – in fact, she well have plenty to grumble about and she won’t be shy about saying that right to the unlucky lady’s face on Friday 7 September.
