Bianca (Simone Biscombe) is silently travelling down a dangerous path and she’s playing with fire. Usually an upstanding member of the community, Bianca is addicted to her painkiller medication after hurting her back in July and her boyfriend Lloyd (Ruben Engel) is pouring petrol on an open flame, explains the actress. “Lloyd causes drama with her daughter Stella (Phoenix Isabella Bennet) and Stella’s dad Stefan (Gideon Lombard), who is also Bianca’s boss. He undermines Bianca’s mom Mymoena (Jill Levenberg) and playing with fire like this sends Bianca in search of other pills to dull her senses and make her personal problems go away.”

Stefan confronts Bianca on Wednesday 29 August after he finds out that Lloyd is spending time with Stella. “Stefan is fuming. He is not pleased that this guy he knows nothing about and is clearly trouble has access to his daughter,” says Simone. Stefan throws threats in Bianca’s face and tells her straight out that Lloyd is a bad influence on her, but she fights back, says the actress. “She is a grown woman and she won’t tolerate her ex trying to control her life.” But what about her mom? Mymoena tries to convince Bianca to stay home on Thursday 30 August rather than going out with Lloyd but her warning falls on deaf ears. “Lloyd isn’t the type of guy that Bianca goes for. Mymoena doesn’t want him near Bianca,” adds Simone.
THE MAGIC CURE
After a wild night out, Lloyd has to carry Bianca to bed because she can’t walk herself on Monday 3 September. “Her painkillers aren’t working anymore,” says Simone. “Lloyd offers her one of his pills, not telling Bianca what it is but promising that it will fix her pain. She feels like a million bucks and she is full of energy in seconds!” All it takes is one taste to get Bianca hooked and she steals one of Lloyd’s pills on Friday 7 September to “help her get through the work day,” explains the actress. “But while Bianca feels great on the inside thanks to the pill, there’s a very different reaction on the outside and no one watching her is impressed. And for good reason – she’s a mess!”
