Eve comforts Brady, who is devastated about Nicole’s death, but when Brady admits to using sex to manipulate Kristen, Eve flees back to New York City after promising Jennifer that she will have her revenge. Chad and Gabi are blindsided by Abby’s news that she has married Stefan, and Hattie offers John a divorce and tries to prove her love to Roman. Tripp admits to Claire that he framed Ben for starting the cabin fire, and Sami wants Susan to help her prove that a mystery man is really EJ. Maggie plans Sarah and Rex’s engagement party, and Hattie has some bizarre dreams.

Ashley announces that she’s taking her patents and leaving Genoa City for good, while Jack focuses his energy on repairing the damage done to the Abbott family during the power struggle at Jabot. A new struggle is about to begin as scientist Kerry Johnson (Alice Hunter) takes her place on the Jabot R&D team, and Nikki runs around as if her head is on fire when workmen call to tell her that a waterpipe has burst under Jill’s sculpture, which is where she buried JT’s corpse. Nikki then calls Sharon, Phyllis and Victoria together for a moving party – complete with shovels.
