Mine, ’til death

Bo promised to love Hope until death parts them but Aiden is about to make the same promise – in a more sinister way.

One of Kristian Alfonso’s (Hope) alltime favourite episodes was when

Bo (Peter Reckell) burst into Hope’s wedding to a creepy older man on 12 June 1984 (US date) and took her away on his motorbike. “We really got pulled over by the cops that day off the set! I was in the wedding dress and him in a leather jacket,” she reveals. Viewers will be holding out for a heroic action-replay in the run-up to Hope’s wedding day on Wednesday 2 January – not least because her fiancé Aiden (Daniel Cosgrove) is plotting to murder her during the honeymoon to quickly cash in her insurance policy to pay back the DiMeras. But can Bo make it out of his prison cell on Wednesday 19 December, survive the plane ride from hell on Friday 28 December and find a bike in time to rescue the woman he calls Fancy Face? This isn’t a good week to get your nails done, warns Peter: “The surprises are kicking butt!”

RING HER NECK

Aiden keeps fantasising about how he is going to cover his tracks by making Hope look like a victim of the Necktie Killer. But on Wednesday 19 December, he reveals that he is torn between his very real love for Hope and his desire to protect his son Chase (now played by Jonathon McClendon), who will be harmed by the DiMeras if Aiden doesn’t settle his debt now. His struggle gets real on Friday 21 December when Aiden drunkenly tells Hope that he isn’t good enough for her after his bachelor party in an attempt to get out of both the wedding and murder.

HOPE’S OBSESSION

Meanwhile, happy Hope is clueless about what’s in store. But while Aiden spies on Hope twirling in her wedding gown on Monday 31 December, her head isn’t entirely filled with tweetybird fantasies – the Salem cop is obsessed with the Necktie Killer case too. “She’s really closing the last chapter in the Bo-and-Hope romance. The finality scares her,” explains Kristian. “That man was more than half her life. So yeah, it really helps to do her job and focus on these serial murders. Bo is her first love and that will never change. When she looks into Ciara’s (now played by Vivian Jovanni) eyes, she sees Bo. He will always be in Hope’s heart. Always.” Come on,

Patch (Stephen Nichols), get Bo to that church on time!
