Fantine is seduced by a man who is obviously up to no good when he tells her, “I want to dedicate my life to you. You see, I’m a poet. You will be my muse.” Ugh, gross. Thankfully the miniseries sticks to the original novel rather than the dull-and-dreary 2012 musical stage re-imagining.
