Love lows & woes
Danni and Tim’s relationship is on a one-way trip.
The usually loved-up couple have had their smiles stolen and it looks like Danni and Tim ( Vashti Prins and Marco Spaumer) don’t even want to be in the same room. And it’s got a lot to do with Tim’s behaviour. First he slammed photos of her newly married pal, saying that “weddings are just another money-making scheme,” which made her wonder if he will ever propose. Now there’s flirting between Tim and Izette (Shana Mans), his new colleague at Suidooster Properties.
HE SHOULD KNOW BETTER
Danni is upset at how Tim reacted to her friend’s photos, explains Vashti. “She knows that his ex
Nicci (Gerwen Simon) left him at the altar [in September 2016] but she isn’t Nicci and Tim must realise that.” Danni tries to talk to Tim later but he makes it clear that she won’t change his mind about marriage. Vashti says that Tim feels he’s proven his commitment to Danni. “He doesn’t need a piece of paper to say that he loves her,” adds Vashti. But is that enough for Danni?
MISSING THE MARK
Tim realises that his behaviour has upset Danni and he tries to make it up to her on Valentine’s Day by planning a romantic picnic, reveals Marco. “But Danni’s boss
Ian (Abduraghmaan Adams) ruins Tim’s date plan when he tells Danni that he needs her urgently at the office and she has no option but to leave Tim hanging.”
The gap between Danni and Tim widens and before he realises, Tim is spending more time with Izette than at home with his girlfriend. “There certainly is chemistry with his new co-worker but it’s nothing more than innocent flirting,” insists Marco. But is there really such a thing as a platonic friendship between a man and a woman who’ve clearly got some sort of bond? And fighting with Danni isn’t going to make Tim want to be at home more either, especially because she tells him that she feels like she’s been forced onto the sidelines lately – and she doesn’t even know about Izette yet. Surely this ship is sinking fast and it’s only a matter of time before Danni and Tim drown.
