Legal drama Suits (2011-current) is ending one year after
Meghan Markle quit as Rachel Zane when she wed Prince Harry. There will be one final ninth season later this year to tie up loose ends and hopefully we’ll find out all about Donna and Harvey’s (Sarah Rafferty and Gabriel Macht) tin-opener ritual that we’ve never even fully seen. Rumours that the series was cancelled because it lost viewers after Meghan left have been shot down by creator Aaron Korsh, who says that “we had the cast under contract until the end of season 7 and weren’t 100% sure what they wanted to do. During the season, as they were negotiating contracts for two years, an unforeseen thing happened – you never know that one of your stars is going to marry a Prince Of England, so we had a choice whether to keep going after season 7. We decided that the original plan was a 16-episode season 8 and a 10-episode season 9”. The producers are reportedly trying to get Meghan and onscreen hubby Pat
