Pastor Wants A Wife

Season 2 Wednesdays Mzansi Magic (*161) 20:00

Anew chapter begins for pastor and IT technician Tshego Modisakeng as he embarks on a quest for his soulmate in season 2 of reality series Pastor

Wants A Wife. For 13 weeks,

Tshego will be wining and dining at fancy restaurants and going on intimate picnics with the 10 women who’re vying for his heart.

During the season, he’ll eliminate women who made the least impression, which often results in broken hearts and tears streaming. Ultimately, Tshego will get on one knee and pop the question to the woman he falls in love with.

“I’m at the point where I’m ready to settle down,” says the 35-yearold father of two.

From the batch of women in the reality show, Tshego believes that he will find his true love.

“I spent 2021 praying for a wife and this is a great opportunity to meet her. I’m also looking for a confident and loving partner who’ll create a comfortable and safe space for me to be myself and

I’ll do the same for her,” adds Tshego, who lifts the lid on season 2 of

Pastor Wants A Wife while still filming.

CHALLENGE ACCEPTED

Where the first season followed two church leaders who searched for love among two pools of women, season 2 solely revolves around Tshego’s romantic journey. When the reality show begins, Tshego familiarises himself with the 10 women and as the season develops he introduces the women to aspects of his life, such as meeting his loved ones and visiting his church.

When two women remain, Tshego travels to their hometowns to meet their families before picking his wife. As daunting as it is to date 10 women, Tshego reveals that he is ready for the task. “I understand that to find my ideal wife, I need to fully immerse myself in the experience. I give all the women a fair shot, I’m considerate of their feelings and I also wear my heart on my sleeve. At the end of the season, I want to look back and be confident in knowing that I didn’t hold back on finding the love of my life.”

THE PROSPECTIVE WIVES

Tshego describes the contestants in season 2 as impressive. “They are some of the most beautiful, intelligent and independent women I’ve ever come across,” says the pastor, before adding, “The women are career-driven and they have great personalities, adding a man to their lives is just a bonus. I’m the lucky one.” Because the women are competing for Tshego’s heart, they clash, leading to arguments and deadly staredowns. “The 10 women don’t always get along, which is interesting to watch. As much as there is romance, there’s also drama in the show. There are going to be plenty of highs and lows during the season.”
