Will Clement’s social media obsession bring him fame or burn him to the ground?
Rising social media star Clement (Vusi Leremi) was in hysterics when he accidentally left his precious phone in a public bathroom recently. By the time he went back to get it, the phone was already gone.
His depression about the situation was lifted when his loving boyfriend surprised him with a new phone. Clement couldn’t have been any happier to get back onto his social media platforms. But his behaviour will soon have his love regretting his generous gift.

While Clement’s family is basking in the glory of his newfound fame on the socials, they can feel the hair rising on their necks as his obsession about becoming a star grows. “Clement’s family and loved ones are worried about him because all he seems to care about right now is his phone and his popularity. They are afraid that life is going to pass him by and that he will be too busy with his phone to even notice what is going on and what he’s missing,” says Vusi.
What makes everyone even more concerned is that when skeletons that Clement buried a while back clatter out of the closet in his offline life, he doesn’t even bat an eyelid. “Right now Clement is so immersed in his online social media life that he doesn’t care about what’s happening around him or about the blast from the past that tries to re-enter his life,” says the actor.
The problem with Clement channelling all his energy and all his life into his online space is that when he starts experiencing the dark side of social media – the evil comments that people start posting about him again – it takes everything from him. When Clement starts reading some hard criticism, he sinks into a dark pit again. Clement’s plans for having a bright future with everyone by his side are on the line thanks to his obsession with social media stardom. What’ll happen if someone unlocks that stolen phone and figures out its owner has all those followers paying attention?
