Brooke and Ridge join Deputy Chief Baker as he interrogates Mike about Sheila’s escape, and Finn gets out of bed but collapses on the floor while trying to question Sheila about what happened to Steffy. Finn goes bananas when Sheila admits that she killed his adoptive mom Li in a car accident, but unbeknown to Finn and Sheila, Bill finds Li dazed and dishevelled in an alleyway at the wharf. Deacon listens as Taylor rages about Brooke and Ridge, and Ridge and Taylor fly to Monaco after a doctor tells Taylor that Steffy has checked herself into a clinic that specialises in treating depression.

Will flies to LA to shoot a new TV show, EJ blackmails Chad and Kate, and Detective Jada crashes Xander and Sarah’s wedding to question Sarah about Abby’s murder. Chanel must choose between twins Allie and Johnny after Johnny proposes, and Orpheus blackmails the governor into granting pardons for himself, Evan, Kristen, Rolf and Gwen. Evan tells Shawn that he, not Shawn, is the father of Jan’s baby Shawn Christian, and Sonny’s brother Alex Kiriakis is back in town. A mugger targets the women of Salem, and Jake proposes to Ava, but he dies during a mugging.
