Abusy week was had with well supported tabs days and two competitions. On Friday last week, the Beach/Rotunda/ La Popote/Bird Co competition was played and because the competition was cancelled last month, all the participating teams received prizes.
First prize went to Richard Lister, Mark Emerson and Gunther Schroeder with the runners-up being Trevor and Jenny Smith and Steve Erskine. In third place were Barry Best, Ingrid Ollermann and John Bayley. Well done. A sincere thanks to the sponsors for their generous prizes.
On Saturday, the Prickett Cup Club competition took place and a most enjoyable morning was had by 36 players, followed by a delicious lunch sponsored by Hilton Quarry Spar, who also supplied the prizes, for which we are most grateful.
The trophy and Spar vouchers went to Dave Gerrard, Hans Veenstra and Monica Rossouw. Runners-up were Barend van der Merwe, Stuart Saville and Debbi Elliott (vouchers). The wine went to Fred Palmer, John Fowler and Marlene Dick. Congratulations to the winners.

• Friday, February 10 - The J. Leslie Smith 2-4-2. Play starts at 8.30am.
Tabs in is on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday at 1.15pm. Dress code on Tuesday and Thursday is casual with whites or club colours on Saturday. Visitors and prospective new bowlers are very welcome.
