● The Chekhov Season: The Mechanical­s theatre collective is celebratin­g Chekov at the Intimate on Hiddingh Campus from July 24 until September 7. The plays are in Afrikaans ( Die Kersieboor­d directed by Sandra Temmingh) and in English ( The Bear and The Proposal directed by Chris Weare). The fantastic cast includes Oscar Petersen, Tinarie Van Wyk Loots, Adrian Collins, Gina Pauling, Matthew Roberts, Carel Nel and Roxanne Blaise.
