Man shot in neck

POLICE are investigating a case of attempted murder after a man was shot twice in the neck in full view of informal traders and shoppers yesterday in the parking lot of Shoprite Park centre in Kuils River.

The victim, 25, was rushed to Tygerberg Hospital where he remains in a critical condition. A man had approached him and fled on foot after firing several shots.

Provincial police spokesman Captain Frederick van Wyk could not say whether the shooting was gangrelated, but added that a case of attempted murder was being investigated.
