Public Protector Thuli Madonsela must just do her work. She must refrain from playing to the gallery. She would do good to understand that showboating, as much as it makes one a darling to fans, can also lead to own goals. – Thando Wababa.

Protesting South Africans, don’t destroy the little you do have. It wastes money, time and other resources. Vote for a change of government. The only thing our thieving, self-serving politicians care about are their cushy jobs and material comfort. Don’t vote for the same old, fraudulent, undemocratic fatcats again. Put them out of their jobs. Vote for change.

Mr Ramaphosa, many of us whites had set our hopes on you after your reentry into politics, seeing you as the future saviour of the ANC and the person who would put our country right after the disastrous Zuma years. Sadly, with just a few words, you’ve blown that hope.

I’m curious to know what wealthy black people in our country are doing to help the poor. Where is their compassion for their own people? Some time ago when Sexwale was asked on TV what he, who is super rich, had done for the poor, he said his wife had donated some wheelchairs. But what are he, Ramaphosa and all the other super rich fellows doing?

The Auditor General’s report is shocking to say the least. Please could Pravin Gordhan apologise to taxpayers for wasting our hard-earned money.

Please could Fransman comment on the recent protests in Bekkersdal and yesterday’s protests in Uitenhage, both ANC municipalities and provinces.

The state to pay Madonsela’s legal costs. What c**p – it’s the taxpayers that are paying. Zuma should pay as his arrogance has caused this.

So you won’t vote for Helen Zille because she can’t dance. No wonder this country is in such a mess. So may the best dancer win and rule South Africa.

Tony Leon, why did you allow yourself to be “paid off” to go to Argentina when you should’ve exposed the arms deal?

Broadcast

Why on earth are we subjected to sports channels showing American football and basketball? No South Africans watch it and nobody gives a damn. Probably another cheap package bought by DStv. – Robert.

DStv. Thank you for the full bouquet this week. Now I know why I don’t subscribe to it. – Sally

I must agree with the lady regarding Radio Algoa, It’s by far the best music station I have heard in this country – Kenton

Other

Justin Bieber is doing a great job at insulting countries all along his tour of South American states. How long before this Bieber Brat finally gets the message that a pretty face and loads of money is not a licence to insult and irritate? Will he realise this before somebody also finds him dead in a hotel room some day? – Francois, Gordon’s Bay

Who cares if McBride is appointed head of the Ipid? They are so corrupt anyway.

What do you mean Joburg visitor who has seen Parkwood East. I’m from Downberg Road, Hanover Park. Council workers clean up today and the very next day trash is dumped again, so please teach the communities to look after and keep their environments clean. What’s so difficult about that?

Another article in the Life section advising people how to be single and happy. Always a photo of a female, never a male. Lots of men are single. Please let’s hear their point of view.

A Weinburg forgets that cash from the sale of the Newlands land would more than pay for alterations to the Cape Town Stadium – maybe even a roof.

Congratulations and a heartfelt thank you to all those wonderful people who were involved in rescuing the dogs from those brainless idiots and a special thank you to everyone who reports animal abuse, may you be blessed always.
