Big acts set to perform at big jol

THIS year’s Plett Rage line-up is set to thrill the 16 000 youngsters expected to make Plettenber­g Bay their party destinatio­n from next week.

Some of South Africa’s biggest stars will take the stage at this massive event – attracting matriculan­ts from across the county – which will run from this coming Friday to December 8.

Event director Anthony Jacobs said bands confirmed include Cape Town electronic­a group Goldfish as well as Haezer and PH Fat.

Other artists set to keep the party vibe alive are drum and bass DJ Niskerone, Cape Town electro-swing group Goodluck, rockers Heuwels Fantasties, Afrikaans rapper Jack Parow, DJ duo Pascal & Pearce and Mi Casa. A number of 5fm DJs will also be added to the mix including Roger Goode, DJ Fresh and Gareth Cliff.

Jacobs said these acts would be performing at a number of Rage venues including the Rage Village on the banks of the Keurbooms River.

Other venues include the town’s popular Central Beach and nightclubs VIP Superclub and Flashbacks.

To guarantee access to all these events and venues the teenagers will have buy a Freedom Pass.

About 50 designated taxis will transport partygoers to and from venues .

Jacobs said there were no major security incidents last year.
