Big acts set to per­form at big jol

THIS year’s Plett Rage line-up is set to thrill the 16 000 young­sters ex­pected to make Plettenberg Bay their party desti­na­tion from next week.

Some of South Africa’s big­gest stars will take the stage at this mas­sive event – at­tract­ing ma­tric­u­lants from across the county – which will run from this com­ing Fri­day to De­cem­ber 8.

Event di­rec­tor An­thony Ja­cobs said bands con­firmed in­clude Cape Town elec­tron­ica group Gold­fish as well as Haezer and PH Fat.

Other artists set to keep the party vibe alive are drum and bass DJ Niskerone, Cape Town elec­tro-swing group Good­luck, rock­ers Heuwels Fan­tasties, Afrikaans rap­per Jack Parow, DJ duo Pas­cal & Pearce and Mi Casa. A num­ber of 5fm DJs will also be added to the mix in­clud­ing Roger Goode, DJ Fresh and Gareth Cliff.

Ja­cobs said th­ese acts would be per­form­ing at a num­ber of Rage venues in­clud­ing the Rage Vil­lage on the banks of the Keur­booms River.

Other venues in­clude the town’s pop­u­lar Cen­tral Beach and night­clubs VIP Su­perclub and Flash­backs.

To guar­an­tee ac­cess to all th­ese events and venues the teenagers will have buy a Free­dom Pass.

About 50 des­ig­nated taxis will trans­port par­ty­go­ers to and from venues .

Ja­cobs said there were no ma­jor se­cu­rity in­ci­dents last year.
