Madge splits from toyboy lover, 25

French dancer has ‘big plans’, is tired of being known as ‘Mr Madonna’

LONDON: Madonna has broken up with her latest toyboy lover, 25- year- old French dancer Brahim Zaibat.

Zaibat, who dated the pop star for three years, is said to have grown tired of being known as “Mr Madonna”. He recently appeared on the French version of Strictly Come Dancing, and friends say he has “big plans” for his career. Zaibat previously said his high-profile relationship with Madonna, 55, was a “handicap” to his own success.

Sources in Zaibat’s home city of Lyon, eastern France, said he had been “absolutely delighted” about his role in the French dancing show.

A friend said: “He is far more assertive than before. Brahim is no longer Madonna’s little boy – he wants to be known for who he is. He has big plans and wants to move on from the ‘Mr Madonna’ tag.”

The couple met in September 2010, shortly after Madonna’s split from another younger lover, 26year- old Brazilian model Jesus Luz.

The singer’s relationship with Zaibat is said to have suffered because of their punishing work schedules.

In the past few months, the couple have rarely been pictured together, with Zaibat instead regularly posting pictures of himself with his dance partner, Katrina Patchett, on Twitter.

Meanwhile, Madonna has recently been spending time with her first husband, Sean Penn. The pair, who ended their four-year marriage in 1989, reunited for a charity trip to Haiti.

She married her second husband, British film director Guy Ritchie in 2000, but they divorced eight years later. The couple have a son, Rocco, 13. Madonna also has a 17-year-old daughter, Lourdes, and has adopted two children from Malawi, David and Mercy.

In an interview in October, Zaibat said that dating a celebrity was “a handicap”, saying: “For example, sometimes it is hard to know if people want to see me or her.”

But he admitted she had helped him, adding: “It would take me days to tell you what she’s taught me.

“Professionally I’ve evolved at great speed… and she’s a real well of knowledge.” – Daily Mail
