Steady as she goes for China economy

BEIJING: China’s leaders pledged at a meeting yesterday to maintain stable economic policies to achieve reasonable economic growth next year while forging ahead with reforms, a state report said.

The government would stick to a prudent monetary policy and proactive fiscal policy next year, the report said.

It would also push forward with interest rate liberalisation and currency reforms next year.
