● London Road: If you haven’t seen Nicholas Spagnolett­i’s superb play, London Road, catch it at Alexander Upstairs in Strand Street from Monday. The play runs until December 28, at 8pm nightly, but there are no Sunday shows. This absolute gem is about an elderly Jewish woman and a young Nigerian woman and their unlikely friendship. Directed by Lara Bye, it stars Robyn Scott and Ntombi Makhutshi. Tickets R120.
