KFC opens on Greenmarket Square

-

A KFC store has opened in Protea Assurance House, one of Cape Town’s landmark buildings, on Greenmarket Square.

Protea Assurance House is owned by the Oasis Crescent Property Fund, a listed Property Unit Trust with Real Estate Investment Trust status, and annualised total intrinsic value returns of 12.4 percent since inception, compared with inflation of 6.4 percent over the same period.

Oasis chairman Shaheen Ebrahim says Greenmarket Square is the oldest public square in South Africa and venue of a colourful market.

“With its scenic and historical setting, it is extremely popular with visitors, and this high-volume footfall provides a wonderful business opportunity for tenants in Protea Assurance House. The restaurant has the latest in decor and comfortable informal seating. It will be open from early morning, with a new breakfast menu. We trust the store will be successful.”
