The Council for Medical Schemes, the regulator of the medical schemes industry, says you should be cautious when dealing with Lebogang Charlotte Thutwa, who, it says, is not accredited under the Medical Schemes Act to render healthcare broker services.

The council says Thutwa provided false information when applying for accreditation to be a medical scheme broker.

It says that, if you want to consult a broker, you need to verify that the broker is accredited by the council by calling its customer care line (0861 123 267) or going to its website, www.medicalschemes.com
