Welcome home, Allister Coetzee!

I SUPPORT the rugby pundits’ speculation that former Stormers coach Allister Coetzee will become Springbok coach. With a proven track record, Coetzee has the credentials to take on the gargantuan task of restoring Bok pride and gain much-needed credibility for the beleaguered team. Furthermore, his appointment will endorse transformation which was a major contentious issue during the Heyneke Meyer era.

Should Coetzee’s bid be successful, his task of leading the Bok team includes securing sponsors which has seen the withdrawal of premium sponsors Absa and BMW after the Bok’s defeat by Argentina in the Rugby Championship.
